Leave it, it doesn't hurt anything. You could put a redtop (non-vvt) one in, but it's pointless.
EDIT: Just to add, the VVT is a little gearing device that gives your car about 40 extra horses, i THINK it retards the timing at the top end of the revs to achieve this. It uses oil pressure to work, and they commonly die because of lack of oil pressure.
