I may be swapping my drift spec s13 for a s14 kouki na. Was wondering how difficult it is to turbo a na and what i would need?

It's pretty straight forward, everything bolts up just a little bit of wiring
as above, think about the diff as well as r180 diffs pop really easy.

Cusco is a make of aftermarket parts so dont mean the diff there will be the same found on a turbo s14, when you look under the car and the diff looks the same size as a s13 diff, happy days, if you look and looks smaller the will be the r180. wiring you need use s14 ecu and add the nats box on it, well that was the way mate of my done.
interesting, are the internals all the same as the DET's then? capable of similar performance out of the box (so to speak)? do you not have to run a thicker head gasket to lower compression or are they already low comp? are the throttle bodies the same diameter? what sort of boost is a SR20DE-T capable of running? gearbox i imagine is the same, but are they?
i have no interest in this conversion i'm just trying to ask the obvious questions so the mod doesnt go out and spend money converting his DE to a DE-T then realise the engine will never be capable of an SR20DET :P
personally i'd just buy an SR20DET and whack that in, with full loom etc just for ease and not having to worry about it too much..
Na internals are different, if you look for Jites, build thread he has sr20de+t i think it would be much easier to throw a £500 sr turbo in and get on with it. The NA gearbox fits clutch and flywheel are a lot smaller tho, keep your na cams and throttle body cheap gains on a turbo sr![]()
