Hi all, any one know what bhp the stock internals in the ca18det can safely take? Also what can the standard clutch and transmission take bhp wise?
    cheers

Ive seen the the stock internals taking 300hp but cant confirm more although i have heard of it taking more, like anything though older engines will suffer running more power without a rebuild, Knew a friend running 300hp on stock internals , T28R, Z32MAF , 444 Injectors etc... and that engine is now in my S13 still going

Ive also seen Standard Clutches or at least Uprated Organics handling 250-300hp out of the CA the gearbox can take it too

300 to 310 stock is easily done with a decent map but the clutch will give up long before them, gearbox is good for over 350 if you have mechanical sympathy , or 200 if you don't lol

I honestly wonder if anyone's truly pushed it to the limit.

Seen 330bhp+ a fair few times though.

330bhp is around "stage 3" ish spec t28r, z32 afm , 444's etc but as i said it's more about mapping quality at that stage rather than anything else. i went forged pistons for 350 on mine for safety

I'm sure there was a guy from somewhere in Europe running 420bhp on a stock bottom end. It's was on a drag car. It was on SXOC years back
