    Was thinking about removing the LSD from the M3 drift car and putting a 325i welder on.

    1) Is it worth it or should I keep the LSD on it?
    2) Will the 325 diff fit straight on?

    A good slipper is better than a welder , can't u shim the diff or rebuild it ? That would be my advice

    What M3? 3.0 or 3.2? They have different Diffs as well.

    325 = 188 case diff, 3.15 Ratio
    3.0 = 188, 3.15 Ratio (bigger kardan flange, changeable)
    3.2 = 210 case diff, 3.23 Ratio (no other diff will fit)

    A good(!) LSD is better than a welder. But I wouldn't call an old 25% diff (if you're lucky) good. If it's a bit more aggressive its perfect. I had a bit more issue spinning the car with my welder than with my LSD. Sometimes it's helpful if the wheels aren't locked.
    If your car is a low cost drifter get the welded diff - no overhauling, cheap, reliable.

    Yeh I have 3.0, But needs to come out to have a overhaul and got a 325 welder from the old car.
    Is it just the front flange where the prop attaches that needs swaping?

    A slipper built to any thing over (personal preference) 50% is better than a welder , If it was me I would have 70% +
