You mean the bare silver aluminium? All that's visible is just discoloured/corroded alloy, so you'd need a wire brush or similar abrasive to get it better.
It's 'clean' as it is, the white bits are corrosion.

You'll struggle to do that properly to anything but a bare block removed from the bay.

Spinny wire wheel is best, Wire brush will do something.
Won't have much luck with much else tbf.

Stiff nylon brush - wire wheels and wire brushes are a cunt because they are so aggressive on the aluminium. The brake cleaner is what causes the white powdery stuff. In all honesty, thats a pretty clean SR. Most are black on the front.

As above, plus you'll only make it look "as new" with a bit of paint.
It looks cleaner than any SR I've seen (I'm sure that's what this thread is really about anyway), so well done - go and slide it.

Paint. You won't do any better than what you already have. I don't understand the fixation, it's clean.

The issue is with the dremel is, yes - it's very high speed but the bits don't last that long and will leave you with polished spots.
You can get brass wire wheels instead of steel, maybe try that on a drill :)
