    Hi guys,

Recently picked up a little compact with a slow ass m43b16.

Couple of questions - is it worth turboing? read a few posts on beemer forums, some say can be decent some that its a waste of time and just drop a 6 pot in it...
Leads to my second question; can you mount an M50b20 straight to the m43 gearbox or will a gearbox be needed also?

Also if anyone has any knowledge advice on good setups for these cars, it would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I fitted a m50b25 to my e36 uses the 1.8 gearbox and 1.8 propshaft so you should also be able to use your original gearbox

I had to make a new loom to connect the e46 engine to the e36 car loom. Few problems but overcome them in the end and I'm still running the ews system with some mods done
