Hope someone on here can help... Just dropped my CA18DET back into the car and it will run and rev but wont idle...

The car will run with throttle applied but the instant the throttle is closed the vacuum gauge drops to 0 (neither boost not vacuum) and the car cuts out...

    Fuel is getting through
Plugs are new and gapped correctly
90% of the hoses are new so shouldn't be a vac / boost leak.

Battery went flat yesterday while trying to get it to idle so hoping to chuck it back on tonight and try a few ideas...

    Anyone any ideas?

Have you tried running it with the AFM unplugged?

Yeah to me sounds like the AFM not doing its job. As above disconnect it to see if theres a difference, if theres no difference look into the wiring or trying another AFM. If you need an AFM give me a shout.

Check the vac nipples are in use or blocked on inlet mani 1 under throttle body and one between runner 1 and 2

Also the 16mm idle pipework connected to ic pipework before throttle body?

Found the issue unfortunately... 0 compression on cylinder 1, 100psi on 2, 70psi on 3 (gave up and didn't bother with 4 after the first 3)...

So now looking for a new engine to drop in while this one gets rebuilt :(
