These have been up for quite a while Stiggy. I just wish they'd hurry up with some announcement as I'm feeling a bit diss-allusioned with skidding in general at the moment. I'd like to make some plans for next year. Its great that BDC and JDM are doing well and I've loved competing in both but if it's at the expense of these tracks not being available then it just feels like a step backwards for drifting in this country.

Sweet. Been waiting for these. Will be looking forward to the Brands Hatch one, had a great time this year. Might even venture back up to Snetterton for the last round.

Nice of EDC to make an announcment about this if its been up on the site for a while! I for one have not made or am making any plans to drive in EDC 2010, there has been a total lack of coms and news on whats going on! How can it be the most "high profile series" and have the "bigest names" in the UK if you dont tell any one about it!

Got all the veniews but no drivers

what does uk drifting need then mate?

thing is britain as a nation are very hard to please and hate change.
the edc, jdm and bdc are all aiming at a different crowd of people and trying to achieve different goals, whats to say any of them are right???

only time will tell mate

agreed but i'd also extend it to say

why does only one of them have to be right? they all have different appeals and different demographics so in theory they should all be successful.

damn i've obviously got too much christmas spirit in me.

whatever happens it looks like 2010 will be another bigger and better year for all involved

Err...I think it says why you haven't heard anything in the title...

From what I understand, some announcements will be made at the Auto sports show, interesting ones as well.

bit gay having a invitational only series. what is the criteria to get an invite then? as polo has said EDC has "all the big tracks" so why not open it up to all drivers with EDC Licenses. seems strange to me thats all.

ill wait to hear the autosport announcements

It's not gay at all in my opinion. It's how JDM Allstars has been run from the start. Get noticed doing some good work behind the wheel, in a car built to a good standard, and maybe get an invite.

I think EDC becoming an invitational democompetition (if that's what it is?) is a big step in the right direction. I'm looking forward to hearing some positive news from the team after Autosport.

I would be interested myself in getting an invite if it was an event by event competition (no championship) with decent prize money on the same awesome tracks.
I think with that format, there would be a lot of interest from other drivers that have lost interest in what EDC is currently as well.

Best of luck with it guys, and please keep us up to date .

well, if what phil said above maybe whats going to happen then i will change my opinion, if its a collection of one off events with good money and prizes then its something i might be interested in as i do not have time or money to commit to another series outside jdm, but would be more than interested in one off invite eents to show support and anything that can improve uk drift scene!!!

I doubt it will be a collection of single events - an Invitational 'Exhibition' Championship is kind of what I'm expecting from what I've heard, the same people compete round after round for the title.

But can you seriosuly see the likes of Luney/McCord/Marshall etc just turning up to make up the numbers????? they will want to win
