i have just had the anti theft/anti shatter plastic film applied to mine, the stuff thats normally used for anti theft on the side windows. is that not sufficient?

thats perfect -the idea is to contain the glass if the roof shatters so the security film will do that even better than gaffer tape

The Fabricage roll cages that were used last year by a few people have a 44mm diameter main hoop, this is less than the regs state

Is that going to be OK for 2007?

Yes

for cages that are already installed we will allow a 1mm tolerance for the tube sizes .... but before you ask, sorry 5mm tolerance will be too much.

you can now run the fuel pipes through the interior ...... if they are professionally made braided or solid metal pipes and there are no joints .

just a q on the working lights.....

i can understand the working tail lights, maybe even indicators, but why headlights.

i assume its because some of the cars are road legal, ....

i only ask as i, personally would like to do away with the headlights as they currently are, so i can get more air into the engine bay.

as per an idea i had a few years ago

( saying that there will always be the possibility of putting them back in

idealy id like to just put in covers something along the lines of a pals car in NZ

i can see what you mean but the origins of that rule are in the desire to keep the cars looking as near to road going cars as possible so that spectators can associate the cars they may drive with those on the track

well spotted as your photo shows - its already been done
the regs only specify headlights , so a smaller unit with a intake will be withing the regs but bear in mind we still want to keep the cars loking like the original cars .... so nothing toooo extreme
