| from the description i would not be sure - it would need to have a gel inside rather than liquid acid .... that one sounds like its more leak resistant than normal but still liquid ( unless the maker says different)- the problem is with the chance of getting acid slopping around in an accident.... acid burns as well as a bent car would really piss you off. Unless you find out for sure that its not liquid i would say its best to put it into a box - a cheap plastic one would be fine. Last edited by scrutineer : 01-04-2007 at 10:07. |

| yeah maybe so. says in the specifications that the battery is sealed and the acid is absorbed into a seperator material its definatly sealed i can see that much, there are no caps as a test i left it on its side for 3 days ![]() i have no intention of mounting it in the passenger compartment.....but just wanted to explore all possibilitys if it helps others Last edited by DriftLexus : 01-04-2007 at 19:44. |

![]() I've been doing robotwars in the past, and the scrutineering is pretty strict there, especially on batteries, because the robot's fly all over the place. The hawker SBS was approved there ![]() | |
