My first time watching a UK 'D1/EDC' event.
Obviously I was gutted I wasnt out there having a crack myself but the level of driving of the top 16 drivers was really good! They made it look easy, but speakign to a few of the faces I know in the pits it was a pretty general opinion that it was a lot harder than it looked, so well done to those guys especially.
A few drivers looked like they needed more seat time since the last time they had been out there - one in particular (Ill mention no names) managed to get ONE good run without under/spin/straighten up in the entire day but that was good enough to hook him into the top 16 WHich was kind of ironic as there were more consistent drivers trying for their license on the friday!
The new guys were awesome! Maybe it was cos they were still fresh from the day before - but I think Paz' P4 qualify slot and the early teen slots of the others was really really impressive. You all looked more than worthy of the new license status.

I enjoyed the day tho

Congrats to all

Rather enjoyed myself at this one, much to my suprise!
Oh don't get me wrong, I love my drifting but watching it at car shows always fills me with considerable dread...listening to some tracksuited cock providing his own commentary on "dem carz dat go sarrrrdwayz innit" usually brings out my abusive side
However...Saturdays & Sundays sessions were really something else! At the same time last year (well Rockingham anyway) it just seemed like everyone was really rusty, but this weekend it was like everyone hadnt even been away!!...AND I wasnt surrounded by chavs!!

Yeah there were new, borrowed (and revived) cars to get used to and fettle (poor Stiggy & Phil!!) but the level was good and it wasnt just power power power (wahay Paz!!).
We were stood next to Bons mum & dad on the sunday and you could feel the tension when he went into 5min rule time!! Bless them!
Mark Js lines into the hairpin were really tight and I think it psyched out a few people.
It seems that the cloud of D1 Corp has lifted and it's left us with a brighter and more versatile scene
Must buy a bigger lens for next time though...

OMG LOL! Wot a cheeky shot! I look a little rosey there, thanks Ed and Missy for the sun-cream, I probably would have been the same colour as the high-vis jacket otherwise!

Why you say TA sucked?

I heard it was a fantastic battle between 2 scooby doos, one which apparently got more sideways on the final corner onto the straight than some of the drift cars managed lol.

Me & the girlfreind went up for the sunday, for the drifting mainly. I personaly thought the skill level was a good this year as it was when we went up to round 4 last year.

It was good to see Bon Bon's car out there, after reading about it in the projects section, & a shame Phil did'nt make it to the last 16.

I think I might be getting old but I could'nt see the point of some of the cars that where on display, especially the completly standard one's.

We'd changed the set up and it was shit, couldn't get a happy medium with the car. I wasn't the only one i guess ... I felt shit all day saturday with a migrain and was as suprised as anyone when my name was read out in the top 16 But hey, one good run is one good run

Top work from Paz... Mucho respect

Congrats to Mark Johnson! Awesome driving !!!

Its because you hadn't fitted the taff*tune steering rack of impending driving magnificence! That would have sorted you right out!
