| EDC Round 2 - June 3rd Silverstone - Event Details Practice and Qualifying The practice and qualifying for Round 2 will be held on Friday 1st June at Silverstone between the hours of 3.00pm and 6.30pm. We cannot use Saturday 2nd as it has been double booked by Silverstone, this is not directly Silverstone's fault as they have had a change of management over the past couple of months which has made things difficult for them. After 6.30pm on the Friday the Top 16 qualifiers can leave their vehicles safely within the circuit until the Sunday. Some drivers already know about this and are happy to do this as it gives them a day to chill out etc., which in a way is a nice thing to do. Drivers will be broken into 2 groups - odds and evens Practice will consist of 2 x 45 minute sessions Qualifying will consist of 2 x 45 minute sessions We are not guaranteeing that a Licensing event will go ahead prior to Round 2 and if this changes we will advise. Payment for Round 2 EDC Entry Fees Payment must be made by midnight on the 18th May using the shop link above. If payment is not received by this time you will not be eligible to run, irrespective of your Championship standing. When you choose EDC Entry Round 2 from the shop you will be given a choice to pay by credit card, cheque or bank transfer. Please ensure you go through the whole payment process even if you are paying by cheque or bank transfer as it will give us an electronic verification of your order. DO NOT just send a cheque to our office as this causes confusion. Round 2 The Japanese Tuning Show (JTS) is a new show on the scene and is being heavily advertised over the next few months so expect a good crowd. Round 2 EDC Timetable: EDC PRACTICE 11.10-11.40 = 30MINS EDC TSUISO (16 to 8) 13.20-14.00 = 40MINS Lunch 14.00-14.50 (inlcudes a spectator Pit Walk) EDC TSUISO (8 to 1) 16.15-17.00 = 45MINS So those guys that qualify, it looks like you can have a lie in on the Sunday ![]() Thats it for now, more details to follow. | Update to Round 2 1. We will be allocating the top 16 drivers garages for the Final on Sunday which they will be able to access on the Saturday evening from 6.00pm onwards. 2. We will be accepting 2 x reserves from the qualifying on the Friday for the Final on Sunday and they will be in the garages along with the other 16 drivers from the Saturday evening onwards. 3. The top 16 (plus the 2 x reserves) will be parking their vehicles and trailers etc., in the BRDC Clubhouse car park from the Friday evening onwards if you want to, you can take them away on the Friday if you wish but cannot return until the Saturday evening with them. You are ok to work on your vehicles on the Saturday if you need to but no vehicles can leave this area until the Saturday evening. Regards. |

| ++++UPDATE++++ Practice and Qualifying Drivers will be broken into 2 groups (odds and evens) giving either group of drivers the opportunity to watch each other. Practice and Qualifying timings will be confirmed on the day. Timings will be between 3.00pm and 6.30pm so please ensure you are at Silverstone by 2.00pm at the latest. We will be using the Pit Lane area infront of the Brooklands Suite/BRDC Stand and not the garages so please make sure you know where this area is. Tyre changing facilites will be available on the day at the cost of £5.00 per tyre and you must dispose of your used tyres. 18 drivers will go through to the main event on Sunday, made up as the top 16 plus 2 reserves. You will be able to leave your vehicles at Silverstone on the Friday and Saturday. On the Sunday we have managed to procure all 18 drivers garage space and you will receive your allocated garage numbers in your event packs. Round 2 EDC Timetable: EDC PRACTICE 11.10-11.40 = 30MINS EDC TSUISO (16 to 8) 13.20-14.00 = 40MINS Lunch 14.00-14.50 (inlcudes a spectator Pit Walk) EDC TSUISO (8 to 1) 16.15-17.00 = 45MINS Licensing Even though we do not have time to run a full Licencing event we felt it only fair to make time to run two drivers for their Licences on the Friday, they are Steve Carter and Paul Conlan. Steve showed briliant skill and came very very close to achieving his Licence at the Donington event (making it through to the twin Drift segments) and only missed out by a bad tyre choice, and Paul Conlan did enter but had technical problems that forced him out at the very last minute which he has now rectified, so for these reasons we are making time to run these guys and if successful they will go forward to the Qualifying later in the afternoon, so we (as well as you guys no doubt) wish them both the best of luck for the Licensing. Spectators Only those travelling with a competitor, and entering Silverstone at the same time, will have access to the circuit. We are not saying anyone else cannot come and we leave it upto 'your own skills of gaining entry' if you want to come and watch. Good viewing points for this awesome layout are the BRDC Stand and of course Luffield. If you can get in and haven't seen it before this course is amazing and technically demanding, it is held in the highest regard by all the top drivers and will show exactly what Drifting is about, Silverstone is where the best drivers learn their skills and find any problems with their cars, which subsequently enables them to compete with the best in the world.
