| spl dori master | ironically, I just got some event coverage from Poland this week... 10/16 cars in tandem were BMW's... 5 nissans, and 1 Lexus were also in the mix. Also, Harri from Ter-tech.com in Florida has built several BMW drift cars that are pretty capable. Last edited by JacobPhoto : 01-05-2007 at 12:58. |

| A lot of MazdaChris' post I agree with, and Bon's about turbo = easy power. In my opinion though, most of the people into Drifting have gotten into it through liking or at least researching Japanese cars. The people who have been into it for over a year or so anyway as nowadays it is being posted up in loads of magazines and in fast and furious/need for speed etc. This interest for Japanese cars therefore transforms into people drifting japanese cars as they like them. I don't think any car should be actively encouraged, just let people use their own brains? If everyone buys 200sx then it means their prices go up and BMW prices stay down for me mwuaaahah. |

| spl dori master | When I come to sell my Mercedes C180 W202 I put it on the cars for sale here, think someone would be interested in turning it into a drift car? It would need the diff welding, handbrake changed to hand operated (foot operated atm) and new coilovers. But there are certain things that are in its favour, numerous brake kits to choose from, fairly simple engine that probably could be tuned well by someone who knows what theyre doing. It would need a lot of work but is someone likely to be interested in drifting it? For me as a beginner it needs too much work for me to convert it, but its rwd, front engined, fairly long wheelbase, I think it would make a good drift car in the hands of someone who knows what theyre doing. note: its not for sale atm, but I probably will sell it before the end of the year. |
