| Back from silverstone! ![]() Yeah Polody won...I have to say he deserved it too with his form in qualifying. He and Phil had 3 goes! It was that close.... I personally thought Macej won it on the first run but hey that's why i'm just a spectator! Some great drifting tho...Buff vs Bon Bon was a close call. Felt well sorry for Niall Gunn who got disqualified against Tony Green for "not following the rules". I thought he did nowt wrong so we were all miffed in the BRDC stand. Other than that it was a good day. Highlight was Maz saying watch out for Brett vs James in battle of the giants....so James stuffed it into the kitty litter on run 1 He then went on calling him a complete idiot for rest of compo lol. |

| Pimms O'clock ![]() | Just got back home, had to leave early with car on the trailer Had serious misfiring issues in practice & qualifying on Friday, otherwise was going fairly well, managed to do one single qualifying run with the loudest misfire ever before I thought the car might implode, it seemed just enough to qualify. It was 12th place & battle versus Buff was on the cards. After an afternoon of rewiring & fitting up a wasted spark set up it still was'nt fixed, then to top it all whilst out on a local test run my HKS Twin Plate clutch fell apart at the pull assembly. Its an engine out job in my car & so that effectively put me out of action on Sat night. Was trying to find a car to borrow but no luck. So I spent the Sunday moping about & helping others, doing some spotting etc. Bon was simply awesome all weekend, same for Buff & Polody. Bretts car was detting its brains out all day today!!!!! so no wonder it exploded. I thought Paz should win the hard charger award for not letting off into turn1, Stiggys startlet is really fast through the corners too. Real shame the Weston car exploded, Mark J must have been gutted. Roll on R3 I just hope the perceived judging issues can be resolved.......... Last edited by cptsideways : 03-06-2007 at 20:19. |

| Re the not "following the rules" - I have been told that he had a similar issue when running with Paz too!!It appears that Paz was not very impressed with this on his run. As I understand it the "problem" could not be seen from the grandstand position. Pazdad Quote:

| I find it a real shame that this weekend is marred with people upset about the judging. Fair play to Sleepy, he has the hardest job of the weekend, bar none. Congratulations to all who competed today, it was interesting to watch as a spectator, however being out there is more my cuppa tea! Sadly, I have to agree, I was confused. Sitting in the grandstand it was impossible for any drift fan, no matter what knowledge, to know the finer details of what was going on. Sitting with what was a very enthusiastic crowd in the BRDC stand, I saw the atmosphere quickly change after Niall Gunns exit - people simply didn't understand what was going on.. I know rules are there for a reason, for a fair race, however watching from the stand it seemed like the most complicated sport to watch. It was great to be there over the weekend, and thanks to Glen for arranging for me take Bertie out in practice. These comments are purely meant as constructive and by no way would I ever want Sleepy's job! Once again it is wonderful to be a part of EDC and I can't wait to Knockhill! |

| Mark Luney was simply awesome today, and drove the car better than ever before, was mega watching him and Bon smoke the place out! Those run's killed the clutch though, which had only been fitted 2 weeks previously. What a huge pity Mark J wasn't allowed by the organisers to use the SVA 350z for qualifying after Raef offerred it, especially when others had borrowed cars as well. I dont think any of the other drivers would have objected. Fair play also to Declan Hicks who agreed to lend his car to Tim Marshall to qualify in, another shame the car didnt survive long enough for Tim to have a go. Was really puzzling watching Stevo's car in qualifying, especially when I saw waiting at the end of the BRDC stand with helmet in hand and his car driving passed me with a 'Phil sized' loon at the wheel. A weekend of people helping each other out was really nice to be a small part of. |

| I need more powaaaaaaahs. I ran pretty much flat out against Brett in the top 8, just couldn't catch him. great weather and a good weekend but it was a shame to see some people upset about broken cars and judging decision, especially heartbreaking to see Phil return with another blown engine - but as said above, everyone pulled together to make some wicked things happen well done! |
