Id have said it was more of a difference in grip mate - Brett clearly had a shitload more than you did. Fcuking spot on effort though and Im loving the purple

Can someone explain what Niall actually did that was wrong?? Is it against the rules not to go flat out,n and how can you judge if someone is or isnt??

Apologies to Pazwaaargh for the example, but his Hachi is clearly not as a quick as most of the other cars - Ive no doubt that he drives it as hard as he can, but if you are going to penalise people for their speed into the first corner then ...........

I may well be wide of the mark but I thought that in Tsuiso the lead driver has to prevent the driver behind from a) coming past and b) having a smooth run - surely driving a little slower is just part of the game. If whoever was following tried to pass then thats the gamble ........

Not knocking anyone at all - Im genuinely interested to know

Anyway I've given you the respect of a reply so twist and turn it as you wish, you've made your intentions quite clear in that you have no real heart felt understanding or passion for Drift but solely have the right to have a voice/opinion that no ones actually listening to, sad but true............

I'll leave the thread open as if you shout loud enough someone who knows nothing about Drift competition might actually hear you and want to listen to what you have to say

The rule is, the slower of the two cars must be flat out in order to keep speed as high as poss. If the lead car is faster, he must wait a little, if the follow car is slower, he must stay behind. Niall was slower (car-wise) and was backing off which is against the spirit of the competition.

No offence intended James as you were top of the class with Polody on the Friday in my view. Had you down as potential winner with Polody.

Unlucky with the engine probs tho as you were looking in superb form.

Why is this the end of your season then? Still 2 rounds to go and you've obviously got the car well under control when you're out there.

Be a real shame to not have you out there as you're one of the top drivers in terms of skill I'd say.

hahaha, nice one Glen, yet again a spirited response from an organiser showing great diplomacy in the matter. I suggest you go look elsewhere on this forum to see my "heart felt understanding" and "passion for Drift". How you can say that purely by one word a couple of exclamations and a smiley is quite frankly beyond me. Good work.

Because I have no sponsors at all, and after this weekend, no money and big debts, and I also have no turbos' as the ones I was using yesterday were lent to me by Julian at garage D.

James, btw, I was the weirdo in the GTR who went passed you just after getting onto the M40 southbound. I went passed, pulled in infront and gave you an indicator shuffle! hehe

Ive actually been told that this morning and things are much clearer for me now - I thought that reducing your entry speed could be considered as "defensive" but if its outside the rules, its outside the rules. I didnt see Niall run against Paz either, which I guess also should be taken into consideration.

Everyone knows for next time now so I dont think theres anything to be gained by dwelling on it

Cypher's got loads of parts going from the RB25 he's breaking.
Give him a pm and he may be able to sort you out a few bits at mates rates etc!

That is a total bummer. I'm surprised you don't have some sponsors coming forward considering you are almost guaranteed top 8 contender at all rounds.

But saying that I think the level of exposure of EDC and Drifting in the UK maybe the reason why more sponsors don't come forward.

It is still very much a sport still in its infancy in the UK. Formula D in USA has way more exposure and following so sponsors tend to see a better return on their investment.

I've got two R32 GTR turbos but one of them has blown the exhaust wheel off. If you need them then let me know, they are surplus to my requirements and are just sat in a box on the shelf gathering dust

It seems to be the same for lots of forms of motorsport at the moment sadly.

Thanks buddy, but I won't take you up on that just yet. I won't be competing again, so not much point rushing to fix the car.

Well if you was anywhere near subjective or at least had half a clue on wha was/is actually going on my responses may have been somewhat different

Diplomacy, why should I have more than you then becauae I run organise events, sorry mate send me a sliding scale of what I should shouldn't do next time and to what degrees. That was sarcasm by the way, probably 10 out of 20 on a scale, if you agree that is, ffs!!!

At least as an organiser I have the respect and balls to come on here and talk/discuss rather than hide behind others or say nothing at all, but hey even doing this is wrong now so

Glen
