| Thank you Silverstone And especially Paul Robinson, our flexible friend in race control. He was brilliant, left us to abuse his race circuit and helped whenever he possibly could, he's a star. Some observations from the start line. Best battle. Has to be Maciej v Phil. Two highly skilled professional drivers with total commitment not willing to give an inch....awesome. Longest wheel spin. Brett when he got left on the line, must have been close to a hundred metres. Biggest argument on the radio. Glen and me when I suddenly became obsessive over the placement of a cone. Funniest radio moment. Sleepy, when he said "gravelly". Most unusual sight on the Tsuiso startline. Bladey, he's not normally there. Most abuse from a driver. Bladey of course. And special thanks for the drifting weather, imagine if had been the previous weekend? |

special thanks to maciej for the lump of gravel he fired at me mid-drift and special thanks to bladey who I blame for dropping the gravel there anyway ........ although it could have been several others but I'm concerned about two of your comments Al - just how flexible did you find paul? and this cone that you and Glen " suddenly became obsessive over the placement of a cone." exactly where were you trying to "place it?".... and was your flexible friend involved in the cone incident as well? ![]() ![]()

| Team S.E.C ![]() | Just to add to the thanx to Silverstone, their "stewards" were complete arses on the day, refusing to let people sit up in the stands away from the heat, until a large group "found a way in", got ejected, kicked up a fuss, pointed out to stewards that in the program, it clearly states the granstand was meant to be open, stewards got on their radios to the "EDC Organisers" (as they called them) 20mins later, granstand was full, everyone was happy, and had an excellent view of the track. |

Not a dig at the EDC organisers, I'm sure its a Silverstone thing, as it was exactly the same at Trax last year. Alex B

| Yes well done again Silverstone. Running events here has definetly opened up new doors over the past couple of years and given Drift an extra bit of credibility that it required. I wouldn't like to hold all events at Silverstone'esque tracks but it goes a long way for a lot of people involved in Drift events and competitions to use it as a door opener to other things so it has its place and uses in the scene ![]() Glen |
