Exclamation Any mechanics going to be near to Dony with the tools to change an engine mount?

I've broken one

And can't compete without it being fixed. Has anyone either got the tools and premises nearby or the ability to get them to North Weald early tomorrow? I've got the engine mount, but not the ability to change it

I suspect this is gonna mean I can't make it, but I really want to be there for the last round of the year, so thought it would be worth asking

Thanks anyway guys.

Isn't that two nuts to undo, jack up the engine and swap it??

Come on James, give it a go

I don't know whats involved in changing it, but if you need a hand and fancy giving it a go yourself il offer a helping hand.

Mitch is it really that easy?, the mounts on my car are easy as piss to change but never even looked at a r32.

I did try that, but managed to semi-round the nut off in the process because, as previously stated, I am totally inept And I gave up before i totally buggered it.

Tried Nick at Garage DriftRacing but no-one is around tomorrow, Nick is busy and Sam is out from 7am picking up his new car.

It 'looks' easy, but it's a total arse getting onto the top nut to undo it, I tried from the bottom (too many pipes in the way) and from the top (two turbno's in the way) and only succeeded in making it harder for whoever does finally have to get it off

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I should never be let near a car in any mechanic type guise, i only break things

Looks like I'm gonna be going to Donny, doing practice and qually, and then using my dads hangars (or the area outside my dad's hangars, not sure yet, depends if his engineers are around) over the other side of the airport to try and change the mount. Only problem is I'm lacking an engine crane, and when i tried jacking it up from underneath, it was less than stable, you i might end up with an RB on my face

No idea, gonna go up early as poss and see if i can get it done, like i said, my dad has loads of hangar space over the other side of the airfield, it's just finding people with the skills that i so obviously lack who wouldn't mind helping LOL
