| Observations from the start line. What can I say guys, you were stars in somewhat trying conditions, only just dried out from Knockhill. As we had to run practise a different way to usual I've got a note of all the runs from Saturday and not including the licensing we did over 270 individual runs from about 3.45 till close of play. Strange moments.......Stiggy making it round all the course, in the right direction and without spinning! Matt clearing the inside of Phils windscreen with a pair of emergency socks. Matt clearing Niall's windscreen with his wiper after being given it from inside the car. Bladey wandering off into the undergrowth...thankfully alone! Biggest repair on the grid...Tim Marshall's crew replacing both driveshafts Most unusual sight, Bon only having his bonnet up once. Thanks to all you guys for making it a good place to be and being cool when things get a tad trying. Big thanks to Glen for organising a great series and biting his tongue when we are bitching on the radio. Big up to Gaz who has one of the hardest jobs, organising the pits/paddock area. Great to work with Mark as well, and I can confirm after Sunday he's a better scrutineer than a runner, 0 to 3mph in about ten seconds Matts a great guy as well, he puts up with me at work and then calms me down when I get a bit tetchy on the line. Maz, what can I say, brings the event to life and makes it what it is for the spectators. Sleepy, wouldn't want his job for anything, fair and impartial and good fun on the radio. So, a great year guys, and thanks. Last edited by Albert : 20-08-2007 at 10:16. |

| wow aren't we all in a mellow mood today I have to follow in the same way..... a great weekend - really enjoyed it - top driving despite the weather! I still remember the the feeling of "what have i got myself into " at rockingham last year but I have loved every minute i've been involved with drift since then.......well most minutes anyway ![]() I really hope that drift and time attack both continue to grow and get the recognition they deserve. Without any bullsh1t these events are the most enjoyable ones i get involved with ...... I look forward to every one. Being on the flag was an "interesting " experience yesterday - top prize must go to BonBon for being the only one to make me move quickly......twice!! and of course special mention to stiggy for entertaining the crowd with the mexican wave And as for Al ......."0 to 3mph in about ten seconds" .... i'll deal with you later finally huge thanks to glen for getting me involved with you lunatics in the first place ![]() |

| The intro thing was really really good, dicking about and smokeyness always gets the crowd going. The last 8, as it stopped raining, was awesome, some of the best action yet. Shame rain makes drifting slow and sucky, but that cant be helped. |

Bon was immense i thought Didnt expect the driveshaft to be changed within the best part of 15 minutes either ![]() Sleepy was awesome too, very amusing ![]() Top event, look forward to next season |

| I agree EXCELLENT WEEKEND! Shame about the weather but hey - ho thats the uk for you "un-predictable" maybe next year it should be a winter championship and then we may get some sunshine! still none-the-less some great action well done to one and all for putting on such a show. Just a shame that the crowd didnt know how to put there hands together to clap! ![]() |

Well, I'd have thought someone with your website would know that.... A) Maz has been the UK's only drift commentator for 2 years until Sweeps started a little while ago at Eurodrift rounds, and has done all of D1GB last year and EDC this year B) Sleepy has been the judges assistant for the first half of last year, and the main judge ever since, at both D1GB and EDC. You'll be asking who this knobber Filling Mollisan is next !!! ![]() | |
