I don't have an answer for this but I'd like to point out that it is clearly a stupid question.

It's already a big step to go drifting in Poland.. but its a challenging track and good local organisation. France is in the process of restarting it's drifting activities from scratch, Spain hasn't really got a drift scene yet apart from some shows, Belgium is kind of a mashup with Dutch and Belgian drivers driving in Xtreme Drift (already planning something with ProDrift) and Germany has the IDC series which is open to anyone.

We expect some French drivers at the IDC this coming season and if we can accomodate British drivers who are over to drive in Poland in some way we will do so (there are several events close to the Polish date). Many dates still to be confirmed.. so let's wait and see ;-)

Agree........and yes good organisation is a key and the Polish guys have it sorted

We are hoping that an IDC event can be taken in by some of the EDC drivers following the EDC event in Poland, more details on this to follow.

Just out of interest but how does entry into these events work? do people go up through the ranks of EDC pro level and then try for a license for this?

Royal now (with this years set up) you would enter BDC (British Drifting Championship) which is the entry level in drifting in that series/championship you have the Amatuer level and also a pro level, in the Amatuer level it is single drifting aiming for set out clipping points however in the Pro class it is twin drifting.
Once you are in that Pro level you may try for your EDC license as and when they hold days to do so if you are lucky and talented enough to get into the elite creme de la creme thats where you stay now and Pro drivers from EDC will not be allowed to compete in BDC. (Which i feel to be honest is totally fair)

is the above statement about having an EDC licence and not being allowed to compete in BDC true?

also, when will the confirmed EDC licence holders be announced?

Hasnt yet been announced by any official recognised body though, just Bladey, and its not in any BDC rules.
