Driver Licensing System changed for 2008

Hi all,

Important news for Drivers intending to enter EDC:

There is no EDC driver licencing system in place for 2008.

All point scoring drivers from the 2007 EDC retain thier full EDC license for 2008.

All drivers confirmed for the Championship will remain throughout. Any progression into EDC must be from the feeder pool of BDC as per the agreements in place ( check BDC structure for clarification on this ) . This system ensures that drivers reach EDC based on thier driving performance which is proven within BDC.

As with the 2007 season, any driver that failed to score points in the Championship loses thier full licence status, therefore there are 26 EDC licenced drivers for 2008.

Drivers from the Tier system points 2-4, if a licence was previously in place but lost due to no points, the licence will be reinstated based on your competance since the last of our events you entered, i.e. you most be able to demonstrate you are still capable at the EDC level, this is done on a case-by-case scenario with EDC having the final decision of eligibility.
