FIA dates for seats and harnesses

Hi,

I have had the question asked to the Scrutineer but I'm waiting on a response since he is on holiday.

Does anybody know if the seat/harness has to be FIA in-date? For BDC they just have to be in good condition and FIA approved, but for EDC it doesn't clarify on the dates. Also, does the harness have to be 5-6 point or will 4 point be sufficient?

Also, the roll cage, is one door bar enough or do you have to have 2? And do you need any passenger side doorbars?

If anybody could give me their experience with this it would be gratefully received, I know one person got an "advisory" to the FIA dates but not sure if that's a general rule.

I think, from last year (dont quote me).. That the seats and harnesses have to be FIA, but dont have to be in date as long as they are in good condition. Certainly last year, my SPG's were out of date and it was fine, but my harnesses were in date. They were also 4 point.

Door bars, again i think that single is OK provided you havent modified the doors them selves, or have FRP doors etc. If youve removed the inner skin then you need twin bars. Or just re-fit the door cards I dont know about the passenger side rules.

I have single door bars driver and passenger.

Cheers Paz I don't want any excuse to be turned away after a massive journey up there so want everything to be by the book I havn't removed the inner skin but did hole-saw the door shuts (on the door, not the shell) around the lock of the door. If necessary I'll just patch them back up.

Harnesses have to be in date (4 point is fine), seats dont, no passenger door bar needed, single drivers door bar needed with stock doors, FRP/weakened doors need a cross/double bar.
