They would have been working on it before the car was out. Super GT is pretty much a silhouette series anyway it probably doesnt have anythign on it from a GTR. Itll be tube frame or carbon tub and is running a V8 I think.

yeah, I thought it was basucally the same as the Z but with the ever-so-slightly-different GTR body ontop. they've already been using the GTR engine in the Z for a while too.

Oh, and the 23 thing is because the founder of nissan used to live at no.23 Tokyo street. ahem.

Boring fact No. 34536 - 23 same number as louis hamilton is running in F1 this year cos it was launched on his 23rd b-day. aaaawww.

Thats bollocks.

F1 numbers are assigned with the finishing positions from the last year. Because McLaren were excluded from constructors they came last, hence picking up the last numbers of 22 and 23.

supergt is apparantley going to identically produced 3.4 v8s from nissan, toyota and honda. same as the engines being used in the formula nippon single seat series. which is a bit dull, but supergt/dtm are as said basically silhouettes already

looks awesome only thing i wonder about it it the lack of paint in the rear wheel arch and rear vent? why leave it as unpainted fiberglass?

The car in the pictures probably has no engine whatsoever. It'll be a promotional mockup. Aero parts on a rolling chassis. Why do you think the windows are blacked out like that? Under the skin there are no mechanical parts.
