Why the spec S and not the spec R????

My Spec R was 12k imported and on the road in the UK and thats for a top grade auction car with history and low milage The spec S will prob come in around 6 to 7k at a guess but not to sure of the top of my head.

J.

Not sure if theres a model report for the Spec S, so ESVA may be a problem.

There's one for the manual Spec-S 02/1999 onwards

if I can find a decent spec r for my budget then i probably will, but I just fancy something cheaper to run for the time being and something newer than my mr2. Once i get my college out the way, then i can go back into high power petrol eating cars. How much is an engine transplant?

More than waiting a couple of years till you've got a spec r budget.

Didn't I hear on here somewhere that the Spec-S can't be imported any more?

After research I found a model report, they can indeed be imported. When were they first released was it september 1999 or Febuary?

Am I right in thinking that if you buy one in February 09, it won't need ESVA?

What sort of money do i need to buy a S15 with broken engine. All i need is a good body with no accident history. Or may be even a little damaged like scratches, broken fenders, little bumps or so. Spec S is fine too.
