I used to play Enthusia with a DFP. It was amazing fun. Still got a copy kicking around somewhere. Wish I had bought a PS3 earlier when they still had backwards compatibility, so I could fire it up again.

I saw an advert where Sleepy gave his 'opinion' of the handling etc. Wonder how long it took to memorise the script?

Much as I hate this physics engine. I'm really rather good at the drifting part ashamedly. Hmmmm.

He sure can. He's received intensive trainng from Kuma and his pro racing past helped him pick it up very quickly.

I don't think this game is as bad as people say. It took a while to get used to it but after a few tries it starts to feel better and better.

Damn - I had so much hope for this game as a 2008 replacement for forza motorsport on mi xbox. Unless I'm missing something it just seems like a well polished turd.

I know its a game and all - but it just feels very very numb to play - graphically nice - but just plain numb. Under braking the cars feel dreadful, loosing grip the car feels dreadful - how you guys are getting those big scores is beyond me - maybe I'm missing something. Great graphics sure - but the driving is deffo not my cup of char.

I dowloaded this on ps3 last night. You can slide round a corner but not get any points. It only seems to start counting when you initiate them with the handbrake.
On another note, does the ps3 controller have pressure sensative buttons like the ps2 had?
As mine seem to be either on or off. Would give you a little more control if you could ease the brake/throttle.

The scoring system only seems to work once you are above a certain speed from what I can tell. I guess so you can't just keep doing donuts and get infinate points.

It only scores well if you have speed and angle, handbrake in at high speed and it will start the counter going but it doesnt need to be a handbrake entry to score.
Rubbing the nose on the clipping point flags (or in fact going the wrong side of them if you can make it without hitting the wall or going slow) bumps you score up nicely.

I was playing this earlier:

For the real races, I found the in-car view by far the best. I drove far better that way and won both the races without any real problems, whereas with the out-car view I struggled, especially with the BMW race. Damn good fun once I got that though! made the Mustang race feel like a piece of p*ss!

The drifting took me a while to get used to, out of car view only for this for me. Top score was just under 700'000, biggest combo about 180'000, that was a x6 combo. I suspect with a bit more practise I'd be getting millions too, I DID find that the car didn't want to transfer too well, but letting the throttle off a little made a definite difference at times. But not so much like real life as I'd hoped, where you tend to nail it more and either brake/handbrake (handbrake mid drift doesn't seem to help you extend it in the game!) and more lock.

Good fun though! I did find that several flags wouldn't give me 'bonus' score no matter how close I was.

I'd love to get it on pc, but I've only got a keyboard and it really needs some real moderation on the accelerator, and a keyboard is obviously on/off.

I find it funny how the first 10 comments on the demo were 'its awesome' followed by suddenly everyone saying 'its rubbish'. Its not rubbish, but the feedback and physics are a little lacking. Turn traction control off on the drift and your car is ridiculous, you can't not wheelspin, and you can't hit full throttle in the corners

I haven't even tried it with any driver assists on yet. All off currently. Is it better with them on?
