Race Driver: Grid - Drifting??

Just a heads up really that the new Race Driver game will now feature drifting, unsure what the physics are gonna be like but still, pictures look pretty

Daymnnnn. The previous Race Driver physics have been a bit hit and miss, hopefully they'll get it right!

fricking Ace !

Love in the first screen how the smoke is coming out from under the back arch on the scooby. Although I'm a bit worried by lack of points and the fact it is three timed laps ...

I wouldn't read too much into it. I'd presume its got a 13k rev counter for one of two reasons, i) its a photoshopped layer over the top of the doctored screenshot just made to release as a teaser of a game thats early in production (those shots have been around for a few months now) or ii) its a generic rev counter used for all the cars in the game and therefore is made to the spec of the highest revving car in the game (having one rev counter for all cars limits the amount of things that need to be loaded and also reduces the package size of the game on a DVD which would allow for space usage in other areas)

Its not uncommon for Codemasters to release heavily photoshopped images from an early production version of their game. They did it with their last Race Driver game too.

This does however look pretty good, some details on the cars leave a little to be desired in terms of the technical art details (notice the severe cut across the reflections at the bottom of the 86's C-pillar and the hard edge around the wheel arch extensions).

Can't a man just dream in peace ?

Surprised you didn't cop the hard square edges on the flare from the top of the traffic cones ...
