| The wand isnt vital, but sure as frick helps sort out frickups and makes things easier. But even I can feel myself using it when i know I was perfectly capable of using weight transfer to achieve similar results. Ie better driving, lol. |

![]() I think it makes for better practice/driving not to use it. I loved trying to nail a shift-lock from 3rd to 2nd coming into the sharp left-hander after the main straight on the top track. Span everytime though ![]()

| ChickFoot FTW ![]() | I've never had a working handbrake! Wouldn't even know what it feels like to lock up the rears with a wand the only time i can see it being needed is going from a long sweeper into a tight corner, i was braking that bit and it got messy a few times pmsl |

You don`t need a hand brake really, you can use the angle of the car and the foot brake to slow down. You won`t loose to much angle. Its all the better if you hand brake doesn`t lock the wheels because you can pump it and it`ll just slow the rears and keep your angle ok. My car doesn`t have a working handbrake but has mega lock and i can lap the big tracking linking every corner all day long. TBH, as a learner you shouldn`t be using the handbrake much because you`ll learn loads more without it. Loz said to me, "i`ve just braked going into the first corner and it went sideways really easy! Its great!" She`d never been in a position to try that before and she wouldn`t have if she`d had a working handbrake. Learn all you can and then add the handbrake to it, then you`ll win everything. And the few people using the handbrake to initiate half way around the big corners Thats a big fail!
