When we drove into the yard 1 song kept playing in my Head "This is how we do it" ha ha

What a day, my under garments were so crisp with "excitement" that they can stand up by themselves.

A sight that wouldnt been seen too often even in Japan, and i think there is definitely scope for an irish AE86 festival.

Im looking forward to the Lakes, under pressure to get mine finished and ready for road.

what a great day, tbh there were hundreds and hundreds of cars i know of that werent there, id say there's easily 5000 AE's here now, you'd often pass one on the road, defo in most towns its like mini japan here.
im happy i was the only one there with a set of revos

someone on eightsix or something tried to do it in wales and it was a balls up, so we said we'd do it properly you guys are more than welcome to the madness next time, i live near the port, so ye could come on tow! strictly old skool rwd yotas only tho!!

during the summer hopefully we'll get the same place, but maybe with car boot sales, stalls, maybe bbq's etc for the biggest festival outside japan!

just to qualify that

we (eight-six.co.uk) tried and are still trying to get a corolla only TRACKDAY going (LLandow are currently being chased for updates). This was mis-comunicated to our friends over the water who thought it was going o be the type of event you see here. fair play it looks like a good day. some of us aer thinking of coming over to the lakes event.

after some research we found that the uk crowd (who were actually likely to turn up and not just put their name down and pull out as happens with all events, groupbuys etc) didn't want stereos, show 'n shine and rings. they wanted tracktime so that's what will eventually provide.

The lakes is one of the most popular rally's of the year, not the best, but for some reason it attracts thousands of people every year, its on the first weekend in May (Bank holiday here). Book you accommodation straight away if your thinking of coming over for it, hotels are crazy money that weekend, but a B+B might still be got handy enough.

Ben if you want to visit www.eight-six.co.uk you will find we will have a good turn out at Japfest (I have a few free spare stand spaces if you wish to attend) and same goes for other owners of cool old Toyotas.

Seriously man, are we still going over the same old? Maybe its time to grow up and move on? Or just get your facts straight? The day wasn't a balls up, as it hasn't even happened ... YET

The day is still being worked out and you guys were told about it as a heads up. The day was only meant to be a track day combining drifting and skidding. Alot of you got the wrong idea and thought it was some mega show.

I cant understand why quite a few of you got so upset, at the end of the day all you did was indicate your interest online for an event that was in the planning and nothing more. Yeah such a balls up!

Good luck with doing it properly!

ok polite reply over.

it wasn't miscommunicated you just seem to not understand. you wanna do donuts and sit there jacking off over it. it's bent, we weren't interested, so we shut the door on you.

those of you from uk and ireland who would like to sign up to track time and drift sessions are very welcome, we would love to see you come down.

those with an attitude problem who wanna krooooooooooooooooooooooooooz are not. simple.

can't understand why you wanna make a thread about a good event into a dig at the uk corolla people. what's the point? it's gettinga bit old now isn't it?
