| dorifto kingu! ![]() | Simon Norris crashes AGAIN! simon norris of norris designs big crash castle combe brake fail@110 mph Oh dear. Another innnocent driver taken out and two lovely Evo's mashed. The official cause of the crash was brake failure, but anyone who watches this video should be able to see that he drives like a ham fisted amateur. The Orange Evo that is chasing him, and which he then takes out, is clearly lacking power massively compared to Norris, but the Orange one still out-brakes and out-corners him just for fun.Note the BIIIIIG frick-up with 9:42 remaining, big lock-up followed by understeer, then oversteer, and at 7:45 remaining, and 6:18 Personally I think he just pushed too hard and ruined him and the other guys car, time to get out of racing Mr Norris, stick to straight lines in the green one ![]() Last edited by TwinturboCH : 14-05-2008 at 11:28. |

| dorifto kingu! ![]() | I can see he's rubbish, and I'm not a 17 year old LOL Seriously though, that is some PROPERLY ham fisted driving. Check out the crazy understeer he gets on most corners, combined with snap oversteer when he gets it wrong. I'd say that, actually, he'd probably get beaten by 90% of people on here, but then thats my opinion as a driver, nothing more. |

| He was pushing hard, no doubt about it, you have to if you want to win, people have a tendancy to forget how hard it is to be on it lap after lap because they watch F1 all the time where mistakes are rare. It's easy to be in the mid field of a race but it's getting those tenths of a second of your lap times and getting into the lead is the tough bit. The car has got massive power and will be a handful so the odd oversteer and lock up is going to happen. He was a tad sloppy on the brakes once or twice but nothing that would make me think he isn't a capable driver. It's a shame he took the other guy with him but thats racing, when someone else wrecks your car it hurts but it's racing, we patch it up and start again. |

| Looks way too fast to be a frick up on braking, I don't think anyone would try to take a corner like that intentionally while there's other cars trying to get round it! I know Norris may not be 'number 1 driver evah' but i do think his brakes had gone there ![]() |

| After I watched the video I also thought some amateurs were strapped in AWD Lancer's. Instead of having smooth lines and late braking without locking up, both of them had understeer and oversteer most of the film. At first I figured they were just having fun, but when you see the spectators and even commentator, you know this shit is for real. Fair enough for catching with the back of the pack. There is lots of videos on youtube and I watched a few of the Turner Motorsport and UUC M3's training videos and actual race. These guys simply drive the RWD cars like they are AWD. And even though they approach slower at the corners they still marked the best times from the lot. Unlucky with Morris for brake faliuer but hey just remember it won't be his last crash, and there will be again, and again, and again....Keeps the Media section alive Here is a video I enjoyed for smooth fun driving without the bhp figures. | the guy in the red one was trying hard and i personally think he was going well he was right on the limits and even with the power differance he was all over the norris design car i disagree with dan and twinturbo he isnt the best driver in the world no but he had a few minor moments which we all do when on the limits and then you can hear him pumping the brakes and nothing.. he didnt crash because he is a bad driver and proberly would of kept going round and round if the brakes didnt go, so a bit unfair to blame him for ruining the other guys car because its clear he does everything he can not to smash into the car infront, it was just unfortunate | |

| I don't get it. What's everyone's problem with Simon Norris? He even puts up vids of his own frick-ups. This is clubman racing too, amatuers, so what are you expecting? Yeah, they're both pretty ragged, but they're both pushing hard. The guy behind looks better on the brakes at the start, but he's doing the casing and has Norris as a reference point, so that would help too. Are people suggesting that Norris didn't lose his brakes and just decided to do a full chat spin-turn on the grass because He Is Simon Norris and makes a squillion quids a year and just likes wrecking other peoples' cars? Man, the tinternet is truly wank sometimes... |
