I WISH there was another event like Rotorstock, really laid back competition and generally pissing about with no-where near the same crowd to have to worry about spectator safety, things getting nicked, etc, etc, wish I was skidding back then!

It's wierd 'cos once you start towing the car to events, you worry what would happen if you didn't, and just drove the car there. It was never a problem before so why would it be now?

I'm off home in a bit to load the car onto the transporter for Japfest

Still scouring for tyres though, so not that much has changed.

Thats what makes it when your driving down the motorway with a car full of tools and tyres and people looking and pointing at the car you have built.

I love skidding!!!

God i cant wait to be back on it,

Getting up early in the morning, warning the car up, getting a coffee, making sure you got everything ready, including ur grumpy missus who is still half asleep and shoving her in the car with tyres all around her!

Drivin out to meet ur mates at the services, getting some sausage roll and another coffee, startin to wake up and feelin excited, and convoying to wherever, fricking about and enjoying the attention you get on the drive down. Its quite possibly the best bit of drifting!

fricking Love it!

I certainly have no complaints at where I am and what I do now. I love it . But checking through some cd's I found on a shelf, I found this picture, and it's just nice to remember the simple start to Driftworks once in a while

that pic makes me wanna chop in my e36 for an s14 right there

I had a wee search for "that 19's era that we don't talk about" but someone's craftily removed them from the interweb...

I still LOVE drifting, LOVE the scene but HATE having no monies.
exactly, word for word, how i feel

Phill, what year would this have been, being a newb to driftworks at the beggining of 2008 and reading this thread of old times, Im wondering what year you guys set out, when was the DW web site launched, when did you guys first start drifting and when was DW formed ?

I'm loving the attention you get on the motorway too, especially people with kids in their cars which have their nose halfway through the windows of their cars waving at you! Some people even follow into gas stations just to have a chat, which is quite cool imo!
