They're right. When I came down to Essex with Will I thought it was completely fricking ridiculous, and just like a cruise, except with everyone drifting inbetween huge crowds of people.

We were genuinely uncomfortable and left early, it was totally insane. Not surprised they're cracking down!!

Thick people shouldn't drift. They can't cope with it.

I don't think its ever been any different with the general public. Even my missus was calling me a boy racer when I went out in the car late at night.

Ah the Essex traffic police are so anal, they took me to court for undertaking two cars on the A127

Got off with just having to go on a driver improvement scheme

while that is what i heard i would be surprised if that was the case in a country where i nearly got arrested for crossing the road ten yards from a crossing at 4am

Hahaha do they call it J Walking too?

Also Police Crackdown that lasts for 2 nights. good effort boys.

So if you got caught during them two nights, you're basically just unlucky. Cos you wont have known there was a crackdown. haha

Streeto is bad. Getting caught is worse.

If they really wanted to do something about it, then they should invest the money and time in providing more places for people to do drifting. i.e. more dwyb days. Like with majority of these people/chav's drifting will probably be a fad, so after a few open days of it, they'll probably be bored and move on to selling crack to grannies etc. But atleast it's better having a knob in a controlled environment than on the street.

It's always the same with the police and local authorities, they never think of better ways to deal with an issue except trying to arrest or get money out of people.

having streets full of chavs in novas is bad, somebody getting killed by "drifting" is worse

roll on more police crackdowns, get the spankers off the streets so people with legal cars and a bit of sense can be left in peace.

3 cheers for essex police

the thing is though mate, if the cops are out at chav cruises, if your miles away from them then you shouldnt be labelled with the same "streetracing" chav tag.

Maybe im just being really naiive.

you are.

public perception is that all night the roads are inhabited by boy racers in novas, you drifting on the streets are exactly the same to them. which is why i say good luck to the 5-0, get the stupid frickers off the road so they can put away the brush we are all being tarred with

I went down to essex and yeah it's nuts, on a bad night there are 50 people watching at each location Kinda fun but you know it's bad news, I prefer low level participant-only stuff.
