Would be fast, you wouldnt need to pedal as much and would still slide, just dont use the gas when skidding. Pretty cool.

thats why i said use a go kart you've got a basic rwd setup by chain already then but if you raise it slightly on the front witch will happen when u put the wheel on the front anyway, change the front sproket size to a bigger one youll get alot more speed outta it without having to pedal as much then in time if you wanted to upgrade al youd need to do is build alittle more at the back counterweighted at the front and stap a engine on

u do realise that a RWD setup wouldnt actually work as the rear wheels will be plastic slicks in order for it to skid so when u pedal the wheels would just spin

I can't see how that'd mean it won't work - we're all assuming we'd be using steepish downhills, so it'd be fine. And anyway, you can get traction from them, but just keep spinning up and the vehicle will speed up.

The whole 'changing the sprocket' to make it high gearing is a good idea - you saw the way those guys were twiddling, with high gearing you could pedal properly.

That road is badass. And the A6 from buxton up to manchester, thats a faster section with tyre changing laybys.

If I'm driving all the way up there again to play though I'll be f*cked if I'm going to ride a trike tho.

I had one of those trikes when I was a wee lad in yankeeland, quite fun but FWD!

Basic pedal go-karts are on slicks on the rears pedal them they go like said tho most woul dbe down hill so once your moving pedaling shouldnt be a problem

higher gearing would mean youd have to pedal slower to make it move anyhow unlike a stock setup of pedal fast and still not move lol
