| spl dori master | most major events will ask for the MSI or MSA (m'sport irland or m'sporrt association) media pass which is hard to get as you need 4 publications printing your work, 2 of which you have to provide evidence of (ie. post a copy down that has your name in the report as doing wrtiting or photos) then a letter from 1 editor saying that they will be using your pictures on a regular basis and from that you get the media pass enabling you acces to most major events and all the international rallies but for WRC and the likes ya need this plus letter from editor and all as they are very hard to get signed on at! http://www.msauk.org/uploadedfiles/m...pplication.pdf thats the msa one that the mainland ppl need i think. |

| spl dori master | well not a lot of cams will get a great picture at night other than DSLR's tbh but try the www.britishrally.com forum for advice on night shots as the chaps have been talking a lot about it in there recently ! |

| doughnutter | I've recently go into photography in a big way but seen as all my media is digital and I needed ease of use I kept my camera a 8MP semi-DSLR - I love the long shutter speeds but the 5x zoom could be alot better TBH ![]() My mates GF took this with it from the stands at D1 at max zoom - just needs more zoom ![]() ![]() I'm starting to use Filters now too like C-PL's and graduated colour (blue to clear for bright day shots). |

| doughnutter | Drax0r - It's three 3in suction cups on a metal plate. You attach it with the camera on a 1ft extension, add a fish-eye lens and get your mate to drive around at 3mph with the shutter speed at 10+ secs (which is why the light-lines are wobbley )I've tested a Single 5in suction mount at over 90mph (with a video camera) so this 9in (effectively) mount is very safe. I still need to test it on the track really to be certain - gonna bodge a 3kg box to attach for testing in case it does fail so I don't damage anything. However, on a long extension you get camera wobble - it really needs another point of contact on the car to stop that. Last edited by IanH : 07-12-2005 at 23:30. |
