Will's been my fav in drift vids up to this day, but from LV I've got to admit that Joshua's was much much better documenting wise, even though Will's was great shot and cut. This is the best vid I've seen till today though:

I'm bored of seeing American drift vids that are supposed to show me an event yet feature no content at all, just string after string of arty shots. I had no idea what happened at the event at all after watching those. I could barely see enough of the car to work out who was driving half the time.

For the vast majority maybe. If i wonna find who won the event i'l go and check out the Fd website, or the massive amount of coverage it receives on many websites. In a video i just wonna see some badass driving, and some cool content. Not fucking battle after battle after battle jimmy won type thing, that bores my ass. Sorry |

lol After watching a few I was left thinking the same.... I did end up looking on the Formula D site after too and It was cool to see that a Prodrift driver "Darren McNamara" is sat in 6th position My comment was purely at the way they've been strung together and how the quality of the Video's is getting so much better. I found them and some of the others in the Vimeo generally entertaining to watch ![]() i'm sure a bit of hunting would find some atual competion video's giving more clues towards the competion winners ect. |

In my opninion it still just amazing what these guys make and edit in general. It might not be to everyones liking (tell me something which is...) but these compositions are still much much MUCH better then you're average coverage of any racing anywhere... And when the time comes when this footage will be accompanied with a presenter then you've simply got the best possible thing! |

Just found this site...and this thread. I'm a freelancer videographer/producer and do work for StreetFire. I stepped in when Will Roegge left. I'm a big fan of Will's and am trying to develop my own style, but would love to hear feedback on what type of event coverage you want. While Will focuses on the art approach (which I LOVE), I've tended to focus on telling a story, a la this video. Would love to hear what YOU want from your videos. One caveat: StreetFire works on a miniscule budget...as such, I am the only shooter at events and while I have a boat load of on car and in car camera gear, it is often impossible to be in multiple places at once...which kills me. Here's my Formula D coverage from Vegas as a point of reference. Filmed on a Saturday, editing Sunday, released Monday. Leaving Facebook... | Facebook |
