Hello all from a wanabe drifter

Dear all,

Having been Road rallying, circuit racing, etc and as of late Motorcycle trials riding, I now feel the need for speed once again.

My favourite of all was drifting during Road rallies, didnt really care where I ended up at the end of the rally as long as I had entertained as many spectators and my navvie as much as I could along the way.

I am currently looking for a suitablr drift car, have set my mind on a E30 bmw 325i if possible because I have a limited budget and they dont seem that dear to buy.

I have also enrolled on a driftskool day at silverstone next month.

Any tips on BMW's would be really appreciated, most of all a bit of help with LSD's. I would like to use the car on the road and possibly the odd road rally so a welded diff isnt an option.

For past photos of me in action you could try www.welshbordercarclub.co.uk

Cheers

Paddy

Hello!

My name is Alan and i'm from Slovenia.
I'm drifting an FF Alfa Romeo 33 1.5 with only 98HP.
My plans are to tune up my car to around 200HP and to become one of the best FF drifters (like there is many )

Front wheel drive drifting? Brave, you must get a bit of slack for that?

Welcome Marco! Nice to see you here.
Maybe you should present your team here on forum. You have a nice set of cars and support vehicles.

btw: You also know Hotrod on this forum.

hi everyone, love drifting, love jap cars.
Currently own a R32 GTST. but will be looking for something a bit cheaper to run and maintain, not as scared to wreck a cheaper car!
talk to you all later. Lewis.

I dont own one myself but a mate of mine does. You can easily get 300Bhp with an induction kit and exhaust system....then crank the boost upto around 12psi.

Not sure if you'll need all that power for drifting only but its nice to do that anyway . If not just gut it out and stiffen up the suspension also may a front and back brace.

Hope this helps..

No worries, id say that'll be ok. Aswell as suspension and stiffening try and focus on weight to even up the power to weight ratio
