Hi all!

My name is Sjoerd, currently living and working in Northamptonshire for a short while. Originally from Holland, where I will return after X-mas.

Involved into drifting and racing for more than a year now, resulting in getting my racinglicense in february this year, also being no. 1 in the course group

I try to attend as many track -and driftdays as possible, however my track -and driftcar is in Holland, so a bit restricted over here Especially as I live 15 mins from Silverstone...

My car:

1988 BMW E30 325i
25% LSD 4:10
Stripped interior
Rollcage
KW Fahrwerk suspension

We usually make the track wet when we are drifting, better for tyres and car. Not everybody got a support van with "a few" extra sets of tyres

Hi all,

finally ive got off my @rse and decided to introuduce myself here!!

Im Jason (believe it or not), been interested in drifting for a couple of years or so, but only been doing it for 8 months or so...
would have been sooner but was waiting for my car to be finished.
Ex 410hp S13 owner, i casually went to a drift day once, and have been hooked ever since!!
Decided that fun is not about speed and straight lines, but sidewaysness instead....
now once again in the land of S13's as i just bought another, so ill undoubtedly see most of you at drift days around the county at some point

Happy drifting,

Jason

Hi all

I'm from Rosslare Hbr in Ireland. I've been drifting for just about a year now, and hold a current Irish D1 licence. I drift in an s13, but i learned in an AE86, which is my baby and is now being fully re-built! Also have a E36 Beemer which likes going sideways but its my daily driver so i don't go too mad in it!

My first UK drift event was wheels in b'ham, i was really sorry i hadn't brought over my drift car! I have my name down for the next event though!!

This is a great site, its really good to see so many people willing to help each other out. Great site, great members - can't say much more!

Why do you need a D1 licence, mate?

The D1 is run in a way over here that only the top 40 drifters in the country get out on the Sunday run. The top 30 from each event automatically get through to the next round, and the remaining 10 places are decided by a qualifying round on the saturday. It keeps the standard of drifter out on the sunday run very good, and allows great competition.

The top 30 drifters are issued with a D1 licence. If you fail to turn up to two consecutive events, you loose it.

Astraboy (Real name unpronouncable),Member of Team GID (Current membership 2 ), been drifting since I bought my 3-door Cossie back in September 2000, but only seriously got into it (or any good) when I bought me S14a back in April 2003.

First crack at the D1 this year, and managed to get a third in the Clubman at the first event. Been getting progressively worse at subsequent events, but I hope to acheive a win in the amateur before the year is out.

Drive: Dark blue S14a, no mods yet cos I keep spending all my money on tyres!
Cheers,
astraboy.

Hi guys.

I´m Kristian.. an 34 year drifter from Sweden.

I have been Drifting for about 18 months in my AE86 Levin GT-S

The car is totally stripped, with two racing seats, 6-point rollcage,
fuelcatchtank, stock 4-ag motor with TRD headers, 14" drift wheels etc

You can se som pics here >>

I organize DriftDay´s here where i live.. & the last time i rented Koenigsegg test track - 26 cars came to drift & over 500 people were there to wtch.

199mB video from Swedens 2:nd ever Drift Day
