Hay, im Nick from Montana, yah that really underpopulated state. I have been watching drifting for about a year and a half now, and i have been sliding around in my 1988 Firebird Trans-am for about the same amount of time. Im new to drifting and im working on learning the basics and would like to see something closer to Montana so i can watch and maby go to one of the classes.

Hello

Hi, my name is Siggi and I´m from Iceland. I joined this forum just to get to know more people around the world that are into drifting.
I belong to a groop that calles itself Turbocrew. I know cheesy ain´t it.

In our groop we have for example: R32 GTR skyline, Nissan primera 4x4 with engine from Sunny GTR , another Nissan Primera with SR20det and rwd, Toyota Corolla AE86, Bmw 325 E30, and my car that is a Nissan Skyline Gts-t R33

this is my ride, picture is taken in Japan I bought it from there and it is on it´s way here now. 2-3 weeks until I can touch the steering wheel.

anyways just wanted to introduce my self and let you know I will be posting some silly questions and answers in the near future.

For low insurance, check out Sierras, Capris, 318s, Volvos etc.

Search around on the forums mate, there's plenty of info on teh cheap subject

hi, i'm Michael and i'm from bavaria, germany. and oh yeah i'm 20 yrs old.

i own a nissan 200SX RS13, so far equipped with cusco stabilizers front and rear, as well as an original nissan R200 Viscous LSD, plus some minor modifications on the engine, like a blow-off valve, horsham stage1 chip, denso spark plugs...nothing really worth talking about.

i also have some parts lying around in my room, which haven't found their way in the car yet like some bridgestone NPG coilovers. the reason why is because i want to build the car almost from scratch, that means ripping all the old shit outta there, getting the rust off, re-painting it, putting a cage in, and so on. also planned is a SR20 swap. as soon as i get going with all that, i'll keep you guys up to date .

how i got to drifting...hmm i don't know really. some friend of mine had a 200 and used to mess around with it, so thats how i got to the RS13... someday i started watching initialD and thats probably how i got to it. from that moment on i watched everything drift related, and also started it myself. unfortunately here in germany the drift scene is not as big as in UK, so driftdays and such are pretty rare around here.

well so much from me,
cheers mike

Hello everyone

I'm Tom and I moved to UK about 4 months ago. As for my background: I had 3x VW Scirocco mkII and bought a 4th one in UK, 2x Fiat 126p, and now I bought a BMW.

Details of my current cars:

BMW - daily driver + drift
Year produced: 1988
Model: 320i E30
Color: black (original paint)
Options: electric mirrors and front windows (but somebody removed windows engine), sunroof - original and fully working with no leaks
Bought: 28 11 2006
Pictures:

Miles: tacho not working, showing 155k miles
Mods done to it (all by previous owners): cone air filter, red gear knob, electric windows mechanism removed, JVC cd player, fancy rear speakers (forgot brands name), -40 or 40/60 (I think) red springs (make unknown)
Need fixing/replacing: tacho, few spots of rust - nothing major, computer (the one below the vent), front speakers, isolate air filter from hot air

Volkswagen Scirocco - race track only
Year produced: 1989
Model: mkII GT
Color: blue (original paint)
Options: no extras
Bought: 09 2006
Pictures:

Miles: 100k miles
Mods done to it:
- 1.8 16V EX engine with Dellorto DHLA 40L and ABF cam's
- chrome intake
- progressive springs Eibach -40 , rear: Koni adjustable shocks, front red Sachs
- rims: ATS Cup 7J - front, 9J - rear, for racing stock 14'
- brakes: front from 16V version, rear new drums
- 2 front bars and one in the rear
- Sparco bucket seats for racing and leather seats from GTX version for daily driving
- KAMEI gear knob
- orginal grill spoiler
- oil temp gauge
- interior stripped down
- mainfold - Supersprint copy, rest is just a 2,5 pipe with custom end exhaust based on 16V model looks
- Alpha ignition system
- Panasonic radio 4x45
- speakers: front: JBL, rear - Conrad
- bonnet cold air intake from Subaru WRX made from carbon
Need fixing/replacing: front shocks are a bit worn, few spots of rust - nothing major

I know how to handle my FWD rocco, now I have to learn how handle bmw.. also I want to learn how to drift. I think I have most of reading/watching stuff behind me... I only need a nice place where I could practice

peace

Alrite Everyone

My names Ted (not really but thats what everone calls me), Iv been checking this forum out for about 3weeks, so im kind of a voyeur, but not anymore, cos iv finally been arsed to join up!!

Im a really good mate of Ash (JZZ30A$H) who as u can probably tell got me in to drifting

I didnt see what all the fuss was untill i got in his soarer with him and I almost shat myself!!!

Iv always liked watching drifting, but prefered to grip the road, so was hoping to go down the time attack road, but Iv decided to leave that till im older and got loads more cash.

I was at lydd with Ash and really enjoyed myself, some awesome drifting by all on that day, a really good insight into the sport!!

Im planning on getting rid of my scooby in the new year and gettin a r32, maybe a 4door, but we'll just have to see whats around at the time, but it has to be white as there is no other jap car colour!!

If I cant find 1 ill just re-spray it like me and ash did his soarer, or maybe not!!!

Enough of me, Ill catch you all around some time

Ted

Intro

Hi, I"m James. My friends at school call me Six. I drive a Mazda 3 and I'm working on it even now. I'm not realy new to drifting but I'm not the best out there. I've been into raceing for as long as I can remember. I want to get better, and I will. But enough about me, what about you guys?

ps. I earned the name Six becasue my best friend was talking crap at school about how badass his car was. it realy wasn't, so we a did drag and it only took six seconds, thus Six was given to me....

Hello Everyone, Lately ive been thinking of getting into the rear wheel drive game and thought id start with a 200sx. Drifting looks ace like and hopefully i will be able to build a nice 200sx.

Seen some awesome ones at shows and in mags, and from what i hear they are quite straight forward to tune. Got a feeling learning to drive it "properly" will take alot longer. Anyway enough of me but i look forward to chattin to you all.

Later

Hello My name is Steffen, I live in Norway, am 14 and already building a drift car, the car I'm building is a BMW 1602/2002. Hopefully, it will have a 1.8l turbo engine in it, producing around 200 - 230hp. If i get enough money, I'm buying a 200sx, hopefully
