hello ... been into drifting for ages, got most the dvds, but just started doing it.

I own a sweet vw bora tdi which is where most of my money has been piled into, but recently bought a E36 BMW 320i to start driftin as my bro has got one and he drift's it like a maniac. Plus I live in Scotland and its always raining which makes roundabouts even more enjoyable.

Hi all .

I'm new here , I'm Diogo. I don't drift but it's my dream become a drifter. In few years I will try to enter in a school of drifting and "fight" to complete my dream.

Thumbs up Ozzie Drifter

Hi my name is Beau

I live in Australia and drift a R32 4 door with a RB25 and a 34 front

I am currently in Japan on a drifting holiday with some mates that live here, brought a cheap S14 NA to drift in, and ran into some guys from Power Vechiles at Honjo circut.

Have been luck with weather as it rained at both Honjo and when I went to Matsuri at Ebisu a dew weeks back , so sliding the na car was easy and fun.

Am thinking about coming over to England to work when the Olyimpic construction work gets started, hope to bring my car or ship over one from Japan before I get there.

Cheers

Beau

But this was just to say

Leslie from hungary

Hi there

My name is László Remetehegyi a.k.a. Leslie, i live in Hungary near to Budapest in a small village called Vasad, working as a car mechanic. also working for the Hungarian Drift Association as much as i can. I'm there from the beginnings, organizer from the first event in 2006, technical advisor and in 2007 and 2008 working as the head of sporting judges, train track workers and scoring judges, translate and write the rules about this and other stuff.
my other job is building cars for drift at driftgarage hungary, thats our business with a few friends and a team also for racing.
You can see our cars racing at HDA events, but our sierra 24v managed a 4th place on King Of Europe Serbia 2008.
we have some other sierras with cosworth engines, turbocharged 16v and atmospheric 24v also, MkI escort V6, some BMW's a Volvo 740 with 3.5turbo and a Driftspec Escort Cosworth see them below:

I have a 5 door sierra chassy and a red top cosworth engine, but there is no time and money to finish it this year

if anyone of You are interested about drifting in Hungary, events, cars, drivers, organizers, do not hesitate to ask me on cell +36308257683 or write me to info@driftgarage.hu

best regards
Leslie

hi i have been drifting for a while now but have only really been getting into the whole drift scene, i heard about you guys and i was hoping if you could point me in the right direction with my S15

i think its a great car but other drifters think that i have to do a lot of work to it to get it to a standard that it is easier to drift it and that it is a lot stronger for the drifting.

i have seen your S15 post with the 2JZGTE engine but i was wondering if you have to move the engine back in the car as i have not got all the ramps and equipment you guys seem to have, and i was wondering if i was to met up with you guys with my car could you make me some guidelines on wat i exactly have to do.

and what engine is the most reliable engine and still is an engine that i can squeeze the extra few horses out of.

hope you guys can help

I had the fortune/misfortune to have Hotshot move next door to us a few months ago, and since then his enthusiasm for what you all do has had me itching to try it properly.

I've always been into the art of drifting and sliding, and have watched all the youtube vids from japan for years - amazing how quickly the sport is growing on these shores in the last few years...

Now - the car. Perhaps not the best for 'proper' drifting, but we have a caterham 7. Done loads of track days, so plenty of track experience, and what I love best is sliding around the corners, so be good to do it 'with permission'

The car is rear wheel drive, has a LSD - and 200bhp - not as much as many of you lot, but it only weighs 500kg, so 400bhp /tonne - its a laugh!

I've got loads of video on youtube, with a bit of sliding around - now I know that these clips do not show proper drifting - but Hotshot reckons its a good start! Handbrake on the Caterham is crap - useless - but I do know a lot about lift-off oversteer, braking into the corner, weight transfer etc.

Caterham tends to want to grip and go round the corners bloody quickly, and I won't get any long, long drifts like some of the better balanced (for drifting) cars - but I am hoping it is enough to get me hooked (what am I talking about - I'm a petrolhead - there is no doubt I will be hooked!!) and then look at getting something more suitable in the future.....I reckon I'd be into an old BMW, or 'old skool' jap....

Got a load of video on youtube - search for 'caterhamnut' or if there is a better place, I'll post some up.....

cheers all - look forward to meeting you....
