want to start drifting!!!

Hello every one i need some help i have had my car for about 10months now and want to start getting it ready for drifting.

It is a s13 1.8 turbo would that be ok with a few engine mods i dont want to
change any internals of engine or engine just yet as the car has only done 23000 miles.

Wot kind of engine work do you will be ok, i no about all the suspension and that it is just the engine really and wot sort of bhp do you think you can get out of the 1.8?

I have been in to drifting for a long time now only got in to it from Brett Castle when i had to carry his wheels around the work shop lol long time ago when he had his white 200 tho lol at Tyre Warehouse since then i try and go to as many drift events as possible and now i think it is time me to start.

thx
sean

Dont mod the engine - have a look at some of the s13 project thread on here. you will notice most just focus on a sweet chassis set up when they are learning

once you got some seat time and lack of power is holding you back - go for better turbo etc

Bretts S13 did not have mad powers

Look in the events section.

Standard s13s with a welded diff or good standard LSD are great for learning to drift, power won't be a problem for a while yet.
