what car - Drifting forum

hi all im only new to this forum. i have gained an interest in drifting over the last few months from going to different events and shows and im thinking of starting it up. i have a reasonable budget just wondering what would be a good car' i like the look of the 180sx but what is it like performance wise? would an s13 or s14 be a better car? any help appricated thanks!

dnt qoute me on this but i think a 180sx is the JDM version of the s13

and me personaly id go for a s13, cheaper to buy run miantain etc

Personally I'd start of with an old BMW to get some experience, I tried to learn in a AE86 I imported, not the easiest of cars to start off with. Also pricey if you prang it. And you can get a good spec beemer for a lot less than a s13.

rsturboboy, yep, JDM one is the 180sx but funnily enough came with the sr20det!

thanks for the replies fellas. is the s13 and 180sx more or less the same car just made in different countries? any difference performance wise?

the s 13 is the 1.8 ca18det and the 180sx is the 2.0 sr20det. the sr20 is a bit more powerful (about 220bhp i think!) and from the cars that i have seen around the 180 is alot more expensive!
