Hi everyone

Newbie to Drifting, but when it comes to cars, I learn fast and love'em!. A very good friend of my has taken it up as a hobby in the states and showed me some when she last came over and visited. Looked fab would really need some instruction, not on budget so would be useful to have any tips from current drifters on RWD suitable motors as my FWD astra is my baby.

Be nice!! x

Well, for my 1st skid car i would look for a cheep 200sx s13 or a BMW E30, as it will get damaged

There's a few about atm, there's Lydd, Silverstone, tee-side, clay pigeon check the Other news bit there normally on there.

Hiya guys, i am looking to get a new car soon, and am getting to the stage in my driving where i can afford to insure a rwd car. Although it can't be more than about 1.8 litres as my insurance will rise quite steeply and also daily running costs too hehe
I would like a BMW E36 and was after a 1.8 engined one. The other options are possibly a 1.8 mk1 mx5 or a non-tbar mk2 mr2. These three i can afford just.
If i got one i would practice with the car to get the basics but would eventually get l.s.d., coilovers etc... to improve the drift specific handelling.
What would you guys reccomend out of the three?
Thanks!

I'm new to drifting but I have been driving since I was 16 years old...I'm on a tight budget... What car would be good for a beginner like me???

ok...some questions.......

I have an S13 which will soon have an SR20DET

Diff - I understand the basic differences between a 1-way, 1.5way and 2 way (acceleration only, accel and some under braking, both acceleration and braking) but I also want to do some track and brisk road so discounting the 2way in case I run out of talent mid-corner. How harsh is the 1.5way and do I really need lock under braking for drifting?

Suspension - I want coilovers because of needing adjustable ride height to get the car in and out of underground garage, how easy are they to adjust whilst on the car - I take it this is a jack-up and wheels-off job? the other option is hydraulics or seriously just retaining standard ride height and getting better quality dampers or would this hinder drifting skills?
