Hello.

Well I suppose I should start by giving a massive and probably pointless welcome so here it goes: HEEELLLLOOOOO!
Well that's out of the way so now I'm going to attempt an introduction, without making myself looking like a complete turd.
Well I don't have a car or for that matter a lisence, due to me just reaching my 17th birthday a month ago. Tomorrow I'm starting a new job which will finance my lessons, first car (which unfortunately I will be unable to drift in as it will be some shit box that will need to be running around 6 poeple, being the only driver of the family)and ridiculous insurance premium.

How's it going? I hope I don't look like an ass yet. Anyway this is my general plan if you're interested, which you probably aren't. Go through 1 year of Vehicle Maintenance at bracknell and wokingham college while simultainiously holding down this new job. Once i have finished the course I will apply to the Xtrac apprentice scheme which is in thatcham (the other side of Reading to me thus the need for a car). Once that is complete after 4 years I will either stay on there as a fully qualified employee, which would be preferable, or find a job at one of the many reputable tuning companies I read about growing up as a child, Abbey Motorsport for example (this option sounds far cooler and I would in no way be disappointed, in fact it's my dream job!).

So yeah, I basically need a car that has 5 doors and plent of space for shopping, yet needs to have low capacity to even be considered by the insurance companies. You see my problem. I have a few ideas but thats not really the problem, the problem is then finding a car which I can use to do this new thing called drifting, you may have heard of it.

So instead of wasting space in the other posting-area-thing, I may as well ask here. My idea car would be an R32 GTS-t or an R34 GT-T with a monster spec, but my lack of funds being that pain in the ass problem again I'll probably have to settle for some old BMW with new springs (no offense to anyone reading this who has a BMW with new springs), but does anyone have any ideas as to which car, if any, would be a good starter not only for a new drifter but a new driver? Oops, there we go. I look like a turd.

But yeah, sorry for the longass rant and excessive use of punctuation in some places, I just get carried away.

Cheers

Welcome to Driftworks. Don't apologise for excessive use of punctuation. It's a breath of fresh air seeing a 17yr old who's actually able to use correct english.

My faith in the younger generation (partially) restored.

The same thing happens here in portugal... Internet foruns and text messages are fantastic in making comunication impossible to decifer. Some pontuation really helps pleople understand what you mean. There are posts that i simply can't understand (and that are written in my own language) just because of the ponctuation.

Hi mate and welcome (i'm a freshman too)
