About LinkBacksi have tried searching but there isn't much information on this hence the reason im creating this thread to gather opinions and information.
i have a lexus gs300 with a 2jzge, due to the running cost its drinking the life out of me on petrol and its not as fun as it seems being on a auto box, i have available a full sr20det engine, gearbox, plus running gear.
my question is will it be worth my while to sr20det my gs300 will there be an issue due to any weight problems, i know its much easier to just swap it either with a 1jzgte on a manual box (w58 or r154) or a 2jzgte but that would be a bit over the intended budget.
is the sr20det engine strong enough to be run in a daily gs300 and abused at the same time like its inside a silvia or is the gs300 just too heavy as a car??

Weight would be the main issue I think. I'm sure room wise you would have plenty, but yeah, depends on the spec of the engine too I guess. ie Having a boggo SR would be underpowered due to weight, but having a high end SR would then make the running costs much higher!

Why would you want to downgrade your car? most people are doing it the other way round!
Stick a manual in it or buy something else.. If MPG is a concern you shouldn't really be driving one of them!

lol i bet pushing a GS arounf with a sr20 will make the MPG even worse

the car weighs 1720 kg with the heavy 2jzge, is the sr20det on a manual box not an upgrade to the 2jzge automatic, can a sr20det not pull the extra 400kg weight difference as a typical s14 weighs 1320ish kg

i cant buy some thing else as i have alot of sex in my car and i need the big room space i have at the back, bitchez love the cream leather interior
