A guy on another forum asked me what these were and while I could think of at least 5 types of wheel that looked similar, I cant figure out what they actually are. Kick up the arse with an open toed sandal for the winner
No, they're Oz Futura's I think? Almost certain, as some/most/all of them didn't have the bolt to hold the centre cap on, and they had the correct style centre cap too.
They're very similar but Futura's have 5 circles on the centre caps, these are more than likely a JDM version. EDIT Futura's also came with a stepped lip from factory. Work and SSR both did quite a few 5 spoke splits in the early 90's as did several other less known JDM companys after OZ released the Futura's.
Other guesses: Racing Andrews, Modena Autostrada, Image Billet 40P, SSR Pro GT and Autoform 735 Like I said, professional level
Nah Andrews have a tag, Modena's are based on aFerrari design with a indentation each spoke. SSR pro's have a valve stem cut out, these have it on the actual lip. - - - Updated - - - Billet 40's also have a border around each spoke
Think you're right. Centre cap holes match, which would suggest they could be SSR's Like I say though, there's that many similar JDM 5 spokes from that design era that only the finest details will set them apart.
I own Impul RS's, I dont think its those because of the valve placement. VeilSide Andrew Racing V. Is also close BUT the real VeilSide's have a tab on them to say so. The valve also sticks out next to the tab. My guess would be a generic copy of them? Its hard to say because so many small companies batched out wheels.
The disks and centre caps look identical to SSR Koenig, possibly re-lipped as they look different to any set of the Koenigs I've seen. Edit; probably wrong, koenigs have an angled / chamfered edge on the disks, the above don't.
SSR did that design with and without Koenig (one has bolt holes on centres for external mount and one has normal bolt/lip design), neither of them though. They're not Impul RS either.
They definitely arent Koenigs, I like the Veilside copy idea though ............ I think thats probably going to be the best answer that can be given I reckon they are SSR ProT GT copies myself, spokes are identical but centres are different:
They're clearly not though it's another random guess like your "professional" suggestions that only had any resemblence because they had 5 spokes.
Sorry, should I have typed the word COPY in bigger writing? You know, COPIES, they look kinda like something but often arent quite perfect. Fuck me, sorry for asking the question but if you cant see a resemblance to a GT, Futura or Autostrada then maybe youre just a blind cunt? To those that gave a bit of constructive, thank, I appreciate it
