I'm on a tight budget. Tight as in $2,000 tight. What are some good cars to look at while trying to build a reliable drift car for cheap?

F51 thanks for the tip. Would the short wheelbase be a problem?

Whatever is cheap, has parts widely available and simple wherever you are. In the UK BMWs and MX5s fit that criteria at the moment, it just so happens they are also reasonably well balance chassis too.

what other options have you got? And what sort of prices are we talking? An FB Rx7 wouldn't be my first choice.

I dont know what finding parts for that is like over there but i know its not easy over here. Might be cheap to start with but if it costs you a load of time and effort before youve even started it seems a bit backwards. What can you find an mx5 for?

Could easily rebuild or replace that motor but the car is too far away! I live in Michigan!
