    Right guys had an old boy come into my work yesterday with a soarer

    had an inline 6 non turbo so not sure if one jz or two jz it is completely stock he said it dont look bad from the outside but no idea what it would be like underneath its auto and he was second owner since it was imported 20 years ago said it was registared as a 3 litre

    he said he was looking to sell so i put it to you guys

    1 whats it worth

    2 any idea whetehr it would be 1jz or 2jz

    3 anyone intrested as he wanted to sell as he said health was deteriorating and had a merc and a jag so no use for it

    It'll be a 2jzge (same as non turbo mk4 supra).

    Essentially, it's worth diddly squat!..... whatever rolling shells are making - add on about £300

    Yup. Not much really. If it was a 1JZ-GTE auto then it'd be worth better money, but still only a few grand tops really.

    fair nough guy was thinking 100 ish maybe 1500 i was thinking worth bout 1500 ish but at end of day worth what someone will pay

    had a look on likes of ebay and they seem to be bout 1500 up to 2500 for the 2jz ge if it was turbo 1 jz they seem to go 3 4k ish

    guy said it had been laid up for a while but cant be that long as just done a vehicle check and it had mot done November last year so obv hasnt been rested that long

    Are they actually selling at that price though? I've seen lots of 2JZ-GE ones listed and re-listed at that price but I haven't seen many actually sell.

    As above I wouldn't pay more than 1k for an na version. Just too slow and too heavy with the power they have.

    There's a 2jz na one on ebay for 6k. Think the guy has been advertising it on various places for well over 6 months without any sign of interest.

    Theres a big argument to say the 3 litre is the best Soarer of the lot. 1500 to 2000 if the condition, spec and mileage are good.

    Is that argument usually made by someone trying to sell a 2J soarer?

    Nah its an argument made by a guy who's had a lot of Soarers

    It's a statement being made until you actually present an argument.

    not got any pics soz guys will try get some when he comes in again as he came in his merc to get plates for it and when i saw it was a soarer on v5 started chatting to him

    yeah i know what you mean just coz they are listed doesnt mean they sell

    ive had a look at completed listings and most seem to sell around 1300 -1500 couple sold abit higher but that was bit mor emodded stock ones are around the 1400 ish mark as a general

    according to dvla vehicle check its silver Gazelle
