Customer has asked me to look at an old RX7 FB, but tbh I know fuck all about them, my knowledge starts at FC's lol.

They worth anything and are they worth the effort as I kinda like the shape of them.

    Cheers.

He said its a Trever Walkinshaw Racing limited edition or something like that but the only thing the net came up with is Tom Walkinshaw Racing.

I'm uploading some images now, just trying to help the guy sell it and maybe of some use to someone on here.

Well if it's a genuine TWR car it's probably 10k+
but if it's just wearing a bodykit and a few stickers, then less likely.

Gotta be a plaque or something in the car to indicate if it's a genuine limited edition thingy.

Its not a race car, its just a road car as you can see, so I'm almost sure its just a TWR body kit type deal, with a bit of googling the wheels seem to match too.

I will look to see if there is a plate that states its genuine or not, anyone know where I would need to look for it? couldn't see anything on the dash ect.

    Bonnet/scuttle, dash, boot maybe??

I'm guessing the small number of road going ones were for homologation or just to celebrate motorsport wins?
They won LeMans and BTCC in the FB RX7 which is pretty impressive.

yeah did a little research on it, was Win Perry I think that won in them, but I don't know what was in the road car to make it limited edition, but the chap that owns it is a proper old boy and has had it like 17 years or so, don't have a V5 so don't know if the reg is lost or not, but i entered the reg on DVLA and it comes up as a 1982 RX7 so hasn't been re-issued to someone else.

LOL @ Si, getting those names wrong is a nit of a bad one TBF :D

I remember considering an FB turbo a few years ago, they were proper rocking horse but still werent worth much money, I cant imagine that would be worth much unless it was mint.

I hear that Stirling Musk was quite a talented chap. Won over 4 races at Brian's Hutch or somewhere.

LOL, OK, for those who dont know, Tom Walkinshaw was the man behind all of these:

and Win Percy won loads of stuff in Capris, 240Z's, Celicas, Jag XJ-S and Rover SD1's before rocking a Skyline GTR in 1988 and then a Jag XJ-R at Le Mans the year after.
