Title, took delivery of this today, tip is a bit fucked as in pics. Anyone know of any good methods to get it round again - probably won't ever be perfect but surely it could be improved?

The bits that are dented outwards.. Put something inside(ideally some thicker walled pipe in a fairly tight fit but flat bar would work too, just takes longer) hold it at the area to be shaped and hit it with a hammer until a good shape
The bits dented in, hold something heavy (curved or flat)on top and hammer the inside out.
You may have to do each area a few times to get it right..
Shouldn't be too hard to get it looking good..

Cheers pal, will try it out and see how it goes.

Seems like the rear resonator/silencer (picured to the left of the 2nd photo) also got fucked, when I tip it from one side to the other something slides about in it from side to side. Any idea what it is that's come loose in it? Can't get it to come out either end either as the piping on both sides are curved so it won't slide out

Bump, and anyone tried an exhaust/tail pipe expander on here?

sounds like the baffle is loose.

its dented outwards because some one has tried to straighten it with a jack handle.
    (prob explains the broken baffle)
to do it properly make a round former 'dolly' for both the inside and out side, and knock it back into shape. or just jack handle it better.

It's more of a muffled thump though when slid from side to side, not a metallic noise at all. Maybe the material/wool or whatever is sliding around in there?

    Either way, it's fucked right?

Cut the tip off and weld a new bit of pipe on.
Sounds like the wadding is moving, some of it may have been blown out. Could be opened and repacked.
It'll probably make the car louder than it would do if it was in one piece internally.

Yeah I'll cut it off and get it welded onto some new pipe.

Tried hammering the tip back into shape, it's tough as fuck - thought it would bend back easily but it really won't budge. This might be trickier than I thought...

Yea you'll need heat, lots of heat to get it moving easily.

If the baffles are loose inside anyway it's probably best to take it to an exhaust shop.
Have them cut the end off, sort the insides out, sort the lip then weld the end back on.

The baffles/wadding is loose in the silencer before the back box, will probably just delete the thing as the system has another one anyway (3 in total including the backbox).

Anyone know of anyone who could fix this up or an exhaust shop around London or close to it? The damn thing has a ton of dents in it, more noticable after cleaning too. Not sure if they can be pulled out, shame as it's a nice system
