People are going nuts on sig size, and listing company names in sigs again. Please see these rules: Please keep signature pictures to less than 50K file size, and a physical size of no more than 650 pixels wide and 150 pixels tall. If using two images, the total hight and width should again not excede 650 x 150. There must be no specs in signatures. There should be no need for more than 4 lines of text, and don't use a font size larger than size 3 please. Sig text and Sig pictures must not contain any advertising unless specifically approved by the Driftworks team.This includes showing logo's or even listing your sponsors, unless they are authorised traders on Driftworks. Thankyouplease .
You'll have to re-instate it yourself, as I've just deleted about 50 for rule breaking, so don't have time to edit bits and pieces out of each one
I'd say that 150 pixels is still too tall. Daniel's sig is optimal - not too small, not too big. 450x100 would be more than enough IMO.
so wats the deal with sponsers then Phil. Is it definately a no no if they not traders on here as tbh loads of people have sponsers that arent on here ????? just seeing if there some lee-way for competitors and stuff whose sponsers read Dw
There are very few exceptions to that rule. Infact the only one I can think of off the top of my head would be Garage D, who don't have a trade section, but are supporters of Driftworks. So basically it is a definate no no. Just because an individual has got a sponsor doesn't make it right that the company can get advertising for free here, when the paying traders are the ones that put money towards running the forums. It seems sponsor heavy sigs pop up all the time, so rather than someone getting the hump because they think someone else is getting special treatment and being allowed to advertise their sponsors, we would like people to use the REPORT POST function and we'll get it removed.

I'm actually glad this came up as it gives me an opertunity to ask something I've been meaning to ask for some time. The company I work for is a registered charity that IN NO WAY is associated with the drift or car scene at all. Would it be a problem to put an advertisement for it in my sig? The only reason I want to is that it might be something people are interested in trying (nothing sexual ).
