| TrampDrift SouthWest part deux 04.02.07 ![]() Back by popular demand we have booked up our little practice spot again. This time for a whole Sunday as opposed to half a day For those that missed the last one here is the thread This is at a small section of Westonzoyland airfield near Bridgwater Somerset Same layout and attitude as last time as that seemed to work well, I am open to comments and suggestions as the intention is only to make sure everyone has a good time. £10 for your whole day, legal drift practice doesn't get much cheaper than this This time I am aiming for a maximum of about 25 cars as we had I think 18/19 last time for half a day and imo there was never a big back log of people waiting. Hopefuly also we are arranging some parking for spectators off of the road as last time that was an issue that could threaten the future of us using this venue. Get your names down if your interested ![]() Last edited by Mike@TDSW : 02-01-2007 at 22:26. |

| Also as well as the possibility of parking the land owner is trying to clear the scrap that surrounds the area we use. It is a slow process atm but he was hoping to get a lot cleared in Jan. This could potentially open a little more space or at the very least give those that want to watch somewhere out of everybodies way to stand. |

Stevep you know i will! if it is similar to 'westonzoyland round 1' then maybe switch to drifting the opposite way around the course half way through the day or something to mix it up a little? | FYI i got thru 3 tyres (2 rears and a front) last Friday with 95bhp and it was totally waterlogged, bearing on undrivable, but I expect i did more miles than you would on a normal day, Dan got thru a pair of rears too, right down to one popping. Id not say its any more abreasive than any other practice area though. So its down to your driving style, ie sensible/skilled, or like me, plain dangerous, lol |

| Tbh I didn't actually drive that much on the last one (too busy running around) I imagine if it is dry and I get a chance I will finish off the 5/6 odd near bold tyres I have sat in my garden. Gonna probably need some new fronts as well, edges are wrecked atm from last time. Dave mentioned you were going hell for leather in the Volvo Stav, I think he found it amusing. |
