| DWYB @ Pod - Beginner's Drift day 9 April ![]() DriftWhatYouBrung is a day at Santa Pod Raceway aimed at those who want a safe place to practice the basics of drifting without fear of kerbs or the cops Free tuition is available from any of the DWYB marshalls who are happy to give some pointers - many of the fresh starters who have attended so far have been able to link the whole track by the end of the day To ensure Minimum queue time,maximum seat time (tm) there enough space for : 1 x Large Main DWYB Track 2 x 'Kidney' DWYB Demo Tracks 2 x Newbie play pens for fig 8s, donut etc - will create more if needed There is also the flexibility to change the track layouts during the day to cater to what people need This vid give a good idea of how the Large Main DWYB Track can be laid out Details 50 cars maximum Marshalled Gates open from 8.30am to 5pm with drifting from 9.30am to 4pm - no lunch break No Noise restriction Twinning Helmets recommended - not mandatory Tyre changing £5 per rim + £2 disposal if needed 'Drift Rubber' will be on sale from £5 per tyre There are toilet facilities on site and the Pod Shop and Cafe will be open til 3pm selling food, drinks, snacks and fags as well as the usual stock. If you run short on fuel, 106 RON Cool Blue race fuel is also available from the shop Booking £60 per car - booking direct with Santa Pod here : Santa Pod Ticket Shop or on phone 01234 782828 - the ladies on switchboard wont know any more info than is on the website so best off asking any Qs on here Booking early is advised and if you make a booking and are unable to attend you will be given a credit for a future DWYB date - sorry no refunds If your ticket does not arrive in post just in time collect one from main office before you drive up to track ![]() £5 for spectators on the gate Bring with you.. | i wanna go but gotta fix the green machine first. heads off and all i need is a skim as i have the gasket already. i'll see if i can make this one as i really want to try the high speed layout this time before the car goes bang. and yes lex the BGW is going |

| I spun out and smashed a cone really hard on my rear quarter. The cone went flying over to the other side of the pen it was that hard lol. Got out and put the cone back and looked at my car to find the smallest scuff ever so i would say you have to be really unlucky to damage your bodywork mate. |

| i hope i will make this one. i fix my car ready and was set to book up for the march 1 and i broke my ankle. so pritty gutted. the cast comes on on the 4th. so will have to wait and see. hopefully will see u there. |

| Dependant on me collecting my gf's new engine, fixing the HG, then fitting a 2.5 engine and running gear in a 1.6 and making an exhaust and fitting her suspension and welding her diff, we will be there ![]() |
